Know the basics of TSAHC guidelines

TSAHC and its agenda

The Texas Legislature directed the creation of Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation or TSAHC, which is a non profit housing corporation. It ha s a particular agenda:

•To create a decent and affordable housing for low to moderate income Texans, a group who desires to own a house but thinks he cannot afford it.

•They assist developers to build affordable housing

• Help people buy a home

TSAHC is self-funded and receives no appropriated funds from the State.

What the guidelines are

If you are interested in buying a home then check TSAHC Guidelines to see what you need to do to qualify.

•Borrowers are eligible if they are Texas Heroes or Low‐Income.

•The two programmes that TSAHC has are:

Homes for Texas Heroes Home Loan Program

Home Sweet Texas Home Loan Program

•The home being bought or refinanced under the Program must become the borrower’s principal residence within 60 days of loan closing.

•To meet the eligibility criteria corresponding with the Maximum Family Income limits, only the income of the Mortgagor(s) will be taken into account.

•The land annexed to a residence will be considered a part of the residence provided that it maintains the basic habitability of the residence and is not used as source of income to the borrower.

TSAHC Lenders are not only provided with a web-based training but an online portal for reserving loan as well.

These are only the basic guidelines they should guide you into further probing before you decide on connecting and availing of the benefits of their finance.
